    Hello there!

    This seed was found in an Allium cepa sample, It will be great receiving opinions for this seed.

    Hello Eduard,

    I hope things are well with you and your lab. This seed looks like an Argemone species, in the Papaveraceae. From the size, colour and size of the interspaces it looks most like Argemone mexicana or A. ochroleuca. These 2 species are closely related, and the seeds look similar too; comparison with reference specimens may be needed to identify this seed to species level.

    Hello Jennifer, thanks for your help, we defined it as A. mexicana.
